Around the city in St. John’s

We’ve been heading into the city most days, to explore or run errands. Downtown really is as colorful and picturesque as it looks! Outside of the downtown, there’s a lot of spread-out neighborhoods, wonderfully tree-filled but not very walkable.

We love walking around downtown, there’s a pedestrian section of Duckworth Street during the summer which makes it very fun and easy to stroll around with ice cream cones and enjoy the sunshine, peek at the boats in the harbor, explore the shops. One day we got a really good banh mi sandwich and a bubble tea and sat at one of the bright red picnic tables to eat our snacks and felt properly summery and touristy.
