Icicles at Middle Cove Beach

Cloudy afternoon with huge, wild surf coming in ahead of tomorrow’s storm. The tide was very high (turns out we’re near an astronomical high tide!) and we had to scramble along the rocks at the foot of the cliffs to get to the waterfall end of the beach without getting our feet wet in the surf. It felt like a pretty wild bit of exploration, although we’d already been here several times in the summer, we’d never seen it like this before.
